Chef Steve D’Angelo Bio:
Steeped in New Orleans tradition of food and hospitality, Steve spent his formative years with Emeril Lagasse and rose through the ranks to become the head chef of Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House. Later, D’Angelo and his wife Rebecca, opened Bay City Grill in Bay St Louis, Louisiana.
After Hurricane Katrina, Steve and Rebecca relocated to Georgia where he became a corporate chef. During his 10 year stint, Steve traveled extensively and had exposure to diverse culinary experiences and met many influential people. He also launched and founded a culinary app to connect chefs with home cooks for culinary support.
In 2021, Chef D’Angelo officially left the corporate world and chose to pursue and celebrate his passion for cooking in Ellijay, Georgia. His goal is to share his knowledge and passion with the local community. You can find him throughout Ellijay through pop up restaurants, private dinners, food truck events and fundraising events.
